How many years have you volunteered with ¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ?
8 years

What are your favorite memories at ¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ?
I have so many great memories with ¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ, but the most impactful memory is my global health immersion course that traveled to Geneva, Switzerland to participate in the World Health Assembly. As a student interested in public health, this was a breathtaking experience that taught me so much about global public health and government policy.

What were you involved in as a student?
I was involved with the Provost’s Leadership Academy, Kent Student Ambassadors, Honors College Policy Council and probably a few other groups I’m forgetting. I worked at the Academic Success Center as a peer mentor and SI leader. I also served a two-year term as the undergraduate student trustee on the university’s Board of Trustees.

Why did you decide to volunteer after graduating?
Volunteering with the university has offered opportunities to engage with a growing network of ¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ graduates doing good work throughout Ohio and around the world. These opportunities have contributed to my own personal and professional development and created spaces for me to give back to support the university community that supported me during my time as a student.

What is your proudest accomplishment as a volunteer?
I am especially proud to volunteer alongside so many like-minded alumni who have decided to stay connected and engaged with the university.

What advice would you share with someone looking to volunteer with ¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ?
It’s never too late to reconnect with the university. Whether you live in Northeast Ohio or across the country, there are so many ways to get involved and start making a difference. Reach out to your local alumni chapter or ¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ Alumni staff if you’re unsure where to start.
