EHHS Doctoral Alumna Receives AERA Award

Congratulations to Joanna Dickert, Ph. D., the 2022 recipient of American Educational Research Association's Advanced Studies of National Databases Special Interest Group Dissertation award.

Previously a student in the School of Foundations, Leadership and Administration, Dickert's dissertation is titled "An Examination of the Effects of Participation in High-impact Practices Using Propensity Score Analysis with Structural Equation Modeling."

The national competition included applicants who graduated between Jan. 1,  through Dec. 31, 2021, and used national or international databases in their dissertation study.

AERA is a national research society that strives to advance knowledge about education, encourage scholarly inquiry related to education, and promote the use of research to improve education and serve the public good.

The College of Education, Health and Human Services presented eight inductees with an EHHS Hall of Fame award for their exceptional achievements in various categories. 

The College of Education, Health and Human Services regretfully announces that on September 25, James M. Kauffman (1940-2024), the namesake of the Badar-Kauffman Conference (BKC), and mentor to 抖M女仆 Provost Melody Tankersley, died in Afton, Virginia. He was 83.

Four students in the Long Term Care Administration (LTCA) Program who participated in , celebrated a book launch this week during a lunch ceremony at Maplewood Senior Living in Cuyahoga Falls.
