COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
The Meonske Conference is held annually in Kent, Ohio at the ¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ Student Center (KSC). It is named after Norman Meonske, the conference founder and ¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ Professor Emeritus. The conference has a well-deserved reputation for high-quality dialogue and welcoming hospitality. It offers a total of 16 hours of CPE credit. Registrants can attend one or both days of the conference.
CPA Camp is an all-expenses-paid experience for students interested in exploring careers in accounting. Students learn how accounting can lead them to career stability, a high salary & meaningful work! This innovative career development program is designed specifically for underrepresented high school students including, but not limited to those who identify as: having a disability, LGBTQ+, students of color, and the first in their family to attend college.
ADVISORY BOARDS
The Department of Accounting has two advisory boards is made up of members of the business and professional accounting community, ¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ administrators, accounting faculty members and young alumni who meet on a regular basis to discuss matters that impact our students, programs and department.
