The President's Award of Distinction was created as a recognition program to reward staff members who have demonstrated outstanding achievements, service, leadership and dedication to ��M�� in advancing the university's strategic priorities and core values.

Our mission is to provide quality service, meaningful accounting information and good stewardship of public assets to a diverse and dynamic campus community; as well as external stakeholders in order to facilitate the educational, research, and service mission of ��M��. We offer support services in the areas of accounts payable, grants accounting, financial and plant accounting, and student receivable accounting. We provide diligent efforts and dependable financial services to the campus community through professional expertise, developing practical procedures and processes, promoting efficient systems, maintaining sound financial records, and seeking continuous improvements. We safeguard the University by ensuring adherence to regulatory and other requirements from the federal and state levels.

Curriculum is a chief asset of the university, one that helps define ��M��'s unique character. Because curriculum remains healthy through change, it maintains the value of programs for our students.

Our NEH Summer Institute “What is Gained in Translation: Learning How to Read Translated Texts” (June 4-24, 2017) is dedicated to the study of texts in translation as a way to develop cross-cultural literacy and to explore what can be gained by addressing issues of translation in the classroom. For scholars in the Humanities and Social Sciences who work with translated texts, this institute will provide the theoretical models and applications developed through Translation Studies that will enable them to exploit translation as a teachable moment.

The Kent Connection is an online directory of university and community resources, area attractions and relocation assistance tools for new faculty members.

The Research Center for Educational Technology (RCET) was founded in 1999 to study the potential of technology to improve teaching and learning.
