To-Go Program

¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ has implemented the O2GO by OZZI reusable food container program for Dining Hall to-go meals. This program allows KSU students, faculty & staff to use reusable food containers while reducing our contributions to the landfill and lowering the carbon impact of dining on the ¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ Campus.  We are excited to offer this option to support ¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ’s commitment to sustainability and a more sustainable food system. Disposable to-go options will be available for a $7.00 charge.
 
The containers are part of the program life cycle; therefore, all containers need to be returned and not permanently kept. 

First Container Pick-up:

  • Students should redeem your first container for the program from the cashier at Eastway or DI Dining Halls between August 15th and September 9th.
  • Your FLASHcard will be used to track if you are eligible to redeem a reusable container or if you have already checked your allotted container out.

Return user: 

  1. Deposit the used container in the OZZI machine to receive a new OZZI token.  For sanitation purposes, please remove all food waste and return the container within 1-2 days, you do not have to wash the container – we do that dirty work for you!
  2. After swiping in for your meal at Eastway or DI Dining Halls, please hand your OZZI token to the cashier to receive a container. (You may not sit and dine prior to filling the container.)
  3. Hang on to the OZZI token until the next time you need to exchange it for a new clean container. 
  4. Students: Prior to leaving the University for the current academic year, please return the OZZI token to the cashier at the Eastway or DI Dining halls.
  5. Faculty & Staff: Return the OZZI token and/or any containers when you leave for the semester or retire from the University.

What size are the O2GO containers?

Containers include three compartments and are 9"x9"x2.5".

How do I receive my complimentary token?

To redeem your first container, Students will check in with the Cashier and Eastway or DI dining halls. Employees will receive their first coin to redeem a container at the Flash Card office when they sign up for their meal plan.

Where do I exchange my token for an O2GO reusable container?

At Eastway and DI Dining halls, you may exchange your token for a O2GO container by giving your token to the cashier.

Do I have to use an O2GO reusable container?

O2GO containers are required in order to get a to-go meal at Eastway and DI dining halls. These containers significantly help in reducing the waste we contribute to the landfill. If necessary, customers may purchase a disposable container for $0.99

Where do I return my container?

O2GO containers may be returned at either inside main entrances of Eastway Dining Hall or DI Dining halls. Follow the instructions on the OZZI screen to deposit your container and receive a coin to redeem your next clean container.

Can I keep my container?

No, all containers are a part of the O2GO reusable container program and must be returned to the OZZI machines after use.

How do the containers get cleaned?

All O2GO containers are removed from the OZZI system and run through a commercial dishwasher to be fully cleaned and sanitized before reuse.

Can I reuse my container without returning it and/or having it cleaned?

No. Due to safety and sanitation requirements, all containers must be returned to be cleaned and sanitized by Culinary Services. Only containers that have been properly cleaned and sanitized by Culinary Services are put back into the system loop for reuse. Containers must be returned to the machine. Staff at campus dining locations will not accept used, unwashed containers.

What if I lose my token?

KSU students, staff, and faculty may purchase a new token for a non-refundable fee of $7 from the Cashier at Eastway or DI dining halls.

Are O2GO containers microwave safe?

Yes! The containers are microwave safe, dishwasher safe, NSF certified, BPA free, and FDA approved.
