is located in the peaceful university town of Pavia, situated on the banks of the Ticino River. Only 30 minutes south of Milan and linked by suburban rail, Pavia enjoys the advantages and services of its near neighbor. However, it offers a calm, captivating and cooperative environment with a higher quality of life. The province of Pavia is known for agricultural products including wine, rice, cereals, and dairy products. Founded in Roman times, the city today features extensive Romanesque and Renaissance architecture, with a maze of narrow streets, ancient churches and elegant buildings. The countless events, festivals, exhibitions, concerts, meeting places and university sports events combine to create an intellectually stimulating stage and make Pavia the ideal place to live and study.
Courses at Università degli Studi di Pavia are taught entirely in Italian in areas including biology, communication, engineering, health sciences, social sciences, visual arts, and more. ISEP students immerse themselves in Italian culture by taking university classes with local students and living in a residence hall on campus. The university has an active student body, and ISEP students can participate in sports teams, cultural activities and student groups.
