Alumna Emilie Oxel O’Leary, '93, is the CEO of Sunshine Solar, a woman-owned mechanical installation company that partners with major brands such as L’Oreal and Amazon by installing solar power to support their overarching goals of being sustainable companies. “I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit,” O’Leary said. “But I knew I needed a good education. ��MŮ�� will host the kickoff event for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Big Read Northeast Ohio, a community reading program celebrating “An American Sunrise” by Poet Laureate Joy Harjo, the first Native American poet laureate of the United States. ��MŮ��’s Office of Sustainability, the Women’s Center, and Employee Wellness and Health Promotion, is hosting a bra recycling drive October 5 through 29, to collect reusable or worn-out bras and reduce the number of textiles in landfills. Bras that are in good condition will be donated to the Phyllis Zumkehr County Clothing Center. Worn-out bras will be recycled.
