Scholarships

The College of Public Health is pleased to provide scholarship support each spring semester for fall enrollment. Scholarships range from $500 to $3,000. To be eligible, students must have completed the FAFSA and submit all required materials and specific scholarship requirements. The scholarship process is completed through the ScholarshipUniverse portal. Visit the portal and complete the student profile and ScholarshipUniverse will match you with eligible scholarships. CPH scholarships include:

  • Dean鈥檚 Scholar Award: Students eligible for the Dean鈥檚 Scholar Award are new freshmen, transfer students or transitioning students from a 抖M女仆 program into the undergraduate public health program with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher. 
  • GOJO - Jerome Lippman Scholarship: preference will be given to students pursuing careers related to infectious disease prevention. 
  • College of Public Health Scholarship: funds students enrolled in the undergraduate or graduate program in the College of Public Health.
  • Environmental Health Pathways Scholarship: funds students with an Environmental Health minor.
  • Future Public Health Leaders Scholarship: available to students in the combined BSPH/MPH or MS.
  • Timothy Mikes College of Public Health Memorial Scholarship: available to full time MPH students. 
  • Dr. Fred Tavill Book Scholarship: supported by emeritus faculty member Dr. Fred Tavill, scholarship will support books and supplies.
  • Study Abroad Scholarship: to support students participating in a 抖M女仆 Study Abroad program.
  • Robert & Linda Cueni Last Dollar Scholarship: awarded alternately with the 抖M女仆 College of Nursing, this scholarship supports junior or senior level students.

Other Scholarships

  • LifeShare: DeWeese Health Center Tuition Scholarship - $500 tuition scholarship is a one-time award for Kent Campus students in good standing enrolled full or part time. Essay required.
  • CSCHEMA (Campus Safety, Health and Environmental Management Association): Since 1977, the Campus Safety, Health and Environmental Management Association (CSHEMA) has sponsored the Scholarship Award Program to encourage the study of environmental and occupational health, safety, or another related discipline. Currently, one $2,000 scholarship is awarded annually along with paid registration to attend the annual CSHEMA Conference. The program is open to all undergraduate and graduate students in all majors/disciplines, who are currently registered as full time students in North America. A full time student is one who is carrying 12 credit hours per semester, trimester or quarter. Undergraduates and graduate students must have at least one year of study remaining in their degree program.
