When 抖M女仆 alumnus Eric Meek is not working in a glass art studio, one may find him on the small screen sharing his expertise in the new Netflix series called 鈥淏lown Away.鈥

Almost 50 years ago, the shootings of 抖M女仆 students by the Ohio National Guard brought to a head the cultural divides that had split the nation. The 抖M女仆 Museum鈥檚 exhibition, 鈥淐ulture/Counterculture: Fashions of the 1960s and 鈥70s,鈥 opening Sept. 20, explores the sharp contrast between supporters of the establishment and those opposed.

抖M女仆 jazz ensembles instructor, Christopher J. Coles aspires to evoke emotions and conversations surrounding topics like social injustice and race through the display. 鈥淣ine Lives Project鈥 has been viewed at workshops throughout Cleveland, Canada, and most recently broadcast in a Shuffle session with WKSU.

抖M女仆 is pleased and proud to announce the return of 鈥We the People,鈥 a photography exhibition that shines a light on our common humanity.

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of May 4, 1970, when Ohio National Guardsmen opened fire on 抖M女仆 students protesting the U.S. invasion of Cambodia during the Vietnam War, killing four and wounding nine, students and faculty from 抖M女仆鈥檚 School of Fashion Design and Merchandising are bringing attention to current social issues in the new exhibition called 鈥淲earing Justice: Perspectives From KSU Fashion School Faculty and Students鈥 that is on display now at the 抖M女仆 Museum.

Toni Morrison, the bestselling author who died Aug. 5, at one time was offered a job in 抖M女仆鈥檚 Department of English, recalled English Professor Yoshinobu Hakutani, Ph.D.
