The ��MŮ�� community paused from classes and work Nov. 10 to gather on the Student Green at Risman Plaza and show their respect as part of Veterans Day.

Ceremonies on campus today honor all who have served. 

��MŮ�� is celebrating its first-generation students this week with a series of events and programs to spotlight and encourage current students who will be the first in their families to earn a bachelor’s degree. As part of the celebration, some faculty and staff who were first-generation students share their stories in their own words.

��MŮ�� celebrated the journey of first-generation college students and those who have made an impact serving as their mentors and advocates with the “I Am First” awards ceremony on Wednesday.

��MŮ��’s 10th Annual Neuroscience Symposium began Thursday with a keynote address by Tracy L. Bale, Ph.D., titled "The biology of trauma: Understanding risk and resilience."  

The Conversation Partners Program at ��M�� is a voluntary program that pairs international students with students from the United States for a once-a-week chat to discuss their different cultures.

Winner of the 2021 Stan and Tom Wick Poetry Prize, Farnaz Fatemi, was invited to the Kiva auditorium on Oct. 20 to read select poems from her acclaimed book, “Sister Tongue.”
