David Kaplan, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Geography in the College of Arts and Sciences at ¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ, has been elected president of the American Association of Geographers (AAG), the premier academic and professional geography organization in the United States, for 2019-20.

With great hope and expectations for the future of brain health research at ¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ, President Beverly J. Warren introduced Michael N. Lehman, Ph.D., as the inaugural director of the university’s Brain Health Research Institute on Feb. 25.

The work of 153 ecological researchers from 40 countries, including ¶¶MÅ®ÆÍ Assistant Professor Dave Costello, Ph.D., from the Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences, has revealed new findings on the effect of climatic factors on river-based ecosystems.
