抖M女仆 is merging research with global connections in the Global Understanding Research Initiative (GURI). The recently displayed 鈥淲e the People鈥 and the upcoming 鈥淚mport/Export鈥 exhibition provide cultural kaleidoscopes with local and international reflectors.

The School of Art Collection and Galleries presents the Biennial Faculty Show in the Center for the Visual Arts Gallery. All full-time, part-time, and emeritus faculty at 抖M女仆鈥檚 School of Art at all campuses are invited to participate in the show. Artwork of all media is on display, including sculpture, photography, textiles, metals, digital media, ceramics, painting, printmaking, and drawing. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
Lauren Luna (B.F.A. 鈥00, Painting) has let nothing get in her way of her goal of making a living as an artist. Born in Columbus, Ohio, she moved to New York City shortly after graduating 抖M女仆 with her B.F.A. and then ultimately to the city of Houston, Texas in 2011 to realize her dream.
抖M女仆 Assistant Professor of Painting Shawn Powell is being featured in a two-person show at Cleveland鈥檚 new Abattoir Gallery now through Sept. 5. One of Powell's paintings was featured in Vanity Fair this August.
The School of Art Collection and Galleries at 抖M女仆 presents 鈥淎cquiring History: The 50-Year Legacy of Robert Smithson鈥檚 鈥Partially Buried Woodshed鈥 at 抖M女仆鈥 from Aug. 4 through Sept. 26, 2020, at the 抖M女仆 Downtown Gallery.
In his professional career as a glassblower, 抖M女仆 alumnus Dan Alexander has done a lot in the decade since graduating with a B.F.A. in Craft in 2010.
