抖M女仆 is celebrating its first-generation students this week with a series of events and programs to spotlight and encourage current students who will be the first in their families to earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree. As part of the celebration, some faculty and staff who were first-generation students share their stories in their own words.

抖M女仆 celebrated the journey of first-generation college students and those who have made an impact serving as their mentors and advocates with the 鈥淚 Am First鈥 awards ceremony on Wednesday. 

Family-Friendly Study Hours

抖M女仆鈥檚 Center for Adult and Veteran Services offers family-friendly study hours for student parents that offers a trained student volunteer to entertain and supervise children, most Tuesdays from 2-5 p.m. and Wednesdays 4-7 p.m. on the sixth floor of the library.

Student Leadership Consultants Workshop

The 抖M女仆 Student Leadership Consultants (SLC) hosted a workshop Tuesday, Nov. 8, that showed students how strong leadership can be used to fundamentally change the culture in their student organizations and workplaces.

Therapy and service animals are a familiar sight on 抖M女仆's campuses.  

Students Vote On Campus

A handful of students were up early and exercising their right to vote by casting ballots at one of two precincts located at the Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center on the Kent Campus.
