Project AWARE Kent, a new three-year program at 抖M女仆, is an initiative to raise awareness about mental health and substance abuse disorders. Project AWARE Kent will be offering Mental Health First Aid courses to 抖M女仆 students, faculty and staff in an effort to create a network of people at 抖M女仆 who will know how to respond to and are aware of mental health and substance abuse disorders. The course is an evidence-based training that teaches people to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders.
Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, 抖M女仆 created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.
